In our Air Gallery, kids become scientists, inventors and engineers as they experiment with invisible forces through hands-on play. From launching rockets to testing their own creations, every experience sparks curiosity and encourages big thinking!
Air Gallery offers something for every age!
Younger kids will love discovering how air can make objects float, spin and fly, while older kids can experiment with rockets, paper aeroplanes and engineering challenges to test their ideas and improve their designs.
Through open-ended experimentation, children naturally build critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving and engineering skills while exploring scientific concepts including air pressure, lift, gravity, thrust, drag, aerodynamics and motion.
Every experiment encourages them to make predictions, test ideas and discover how invisible forces shape the world around us.
Air Gallery can be enjoyed by children across a range of ages and abilities. Younger kids can explore how air makes objects float, move and fly, while older children can experiment more deeply with their designs and discover concepts such as air pressure, aerodynamics and forces.
Children can build and launch rockets, fold and test paper aeroplanes, create giant vortex rings, balance objects on jets of air, explore pneumatic tubes and even experience hurricane-force winds. Every exhibit encourages hands-on experimentation, creativity and plenty of trial and error.
All OliOli® tickets give you time to explore our permanent galleries at your own pace. Children typically spend around 20 minutes in each gallery, although this varies depending on what captures their curiosity. If you’d like more time to explore, extra-hour tickets are available to purchase on-site.

Whether your kids have a passion for aerodynamics, or just love making paper planes, launching rockets, experimenting with shapes on airstreams, and shooting stuff with wind cannons, the Air Gallery is for you. Witness the beauty of airflows on the Air Curtain, the joy of Amazing Airways, the mystery of floating shapes on Bernoulli’s Blower, and the forces of nature in our 110kph Hurricane Booth.
By experimenting and making adjustments, children learn so much about the principles of flight, wind, gravity, aerodynamics, friction and resistance. It also enhances fine motor skills, spatial skills, coordination, and problem-solving to master the wonder of flight.
