OliOli® is back again with its signature program, The Winter Camp! Except this year it’s not just an ordinary Winter Camp but it’s The Inventshop – A Winter Camp for the young Inventors, inspired by legendary inventors!
Get ready for an awesomely fun and exciting winter! OliOli® Inventshop is a make and take themed camp, which will take your children on a journey of joy and learning with a program inspired by the most amazing inventors from the Wright Brothers to Henry Ford to Coco Chanel and more! Wright Brothers: Learn about the Wright brothers who invented the airplane, experience aerodynamic theories in a fun and interactive way at our air gallery and design, build and bring home their own airplanes!
Leonardo da Vinci: Indulge in Davinci’s amazing art stories and countless inventions. They will create their own invention journals and make and take their own Davinci inspired creations.
Galileo Galilei: Discover Galileo and his amazing telescope invention that led to so many space discoveries. Children will learn to make their own telescopes and constellation art in addition to an interactive experience at our Museum of the Moon.
Coco Chanel: Living the life of a legendary designer for a day! Learning all about the revolutionary Coco Chanel and creating their own designer trousers and a personalized perfume.
Ada Lovelace: The fascinating story of one of the key female inventors who became the first computer programmer a century before the computer was even invented! Children will be taught about art and coding by coding their own ukuleles and creating artistic paintings using code.
Hedy Lamarr: The tales of the woman behind the wifi, gps and bluetooth technology! Campers will code their own treasure hunt using microbits and making a stop-motion animation to get a feel of Hedy Lamar's double life as an inventor and actress/producer.
Thomas Edison: The famous Thomas Edison who is known for his light bulb invention amongst 1000 other inventions. This day campers will be building their own city and connecting power to it just like Edison taught us.
Archimedes: All about one of the greatest ancient inventors behind all the simple machines we use today like cranes, pulleys and catapults. This day will be about building your own crane and catapult.
Cai Lun: The genius man who invented paper! Children will learn the paper making process and participate in a paper making workshop and create their own paper mâché art.
Henry ford: A day dedicated to designing, creating and testing your own car on several tracks, whilst learning about the visionary Henry who invented Ford cars as we know them.
